Let it be

In English, French on 29/05/2010 at 12:08 am

In this blessed Buddhist land, it seems the Buddha and his teachings aren’t of much help these days, so perhaps Mother Mary can be of some succour instead, as per The Beatles of four decades ago.  Fancy a committed unbeliever writing this, and on Visakha Puja Day too! But here you are. It’s on watch?v=y-gyGiggAOI on youtube.com, of course, when cherubic McCarthy was sporting a beard and wasn’t yet Sir Paul.

Let it be – The Beatles – 1970

Laisse faire

When I find myself in times of trouble,
Mother Mary comes to me,
speaking words of wisdom, let it be.
And in my hour of darkness she is standing right in front of me,
speaking words of wisdom, let it be.

debout devant moi
et dit en sa sagesse, Laisse faire

Let it be, let it be, let it be, let it be.
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be.

Laisse béton (x4)
chuchote en sa sagesse, Laisse faire

And when the broken hearted people
living in the world agree,
there will be an answer, let it be.
For though they may be parted
there is still a chance that they will see
there will be an answer. let it be.

Laisse faire

Let it be, let it be…

Laisse faire, laisse faire…

And when the night is cloudy,
there is still a light that shines on me,
shine until tomorrow, let it be.
I wake up to the sound of music,
Mother Mary comes to me,
speaking words of wisdom, let it be.

Let it be, let it be…

Laisse faire, laisse faire…
